The MEIKON Extension Arm is a well-made product that can be useful when combined with a lot of other products like ball joints, a strobe, and a sync cord. As claimed, it appears to be machined , not cast (good) and the manufacturer claims it’s made of an anodized aluminum alloy that should make it corrosion resistant (also good). With a standard 1” ball, it fits with a number of other strobe arm manufacturers’ products. While the manufacturer claims the friction O-Ring is made of rubber, it’s actually silicone which is far better than rubber for these purposes. Just remember that corrosion resistant does not mean corrosion-proof and rinse your gear thoroughly after every use.
