This is a plastic body, metal ended articulated arm for dive arms that works quite well for adding lightweight lights or a GoPro housing to your main dive camera rig. With a YS to Go-Pro or YS-to-Cold Shoe adapter, you can add almost accessory and have it point exactly where you want it instead of dealing with balljoint clamps and rigid arms.I used it to piggyback a GoPro on my main camera rig to allow for recording B-roll video and to have video in addition to stills. I found the ability to just bend it and aim it was better than fussing with clamps. You get it exactly where you want it instead of settling for “close enough”. The arm isn’t rigid/strong enough to securely hold bigger lights in place, but that’s what rigid arms are for.I have 4 dives on this and have noticed no corrosion on the metal or plastic parts.It’s a good adjunct.
