Description The OEM ATS-V LPFP will flow 215 lph @ 70 psi and can support up to 550 whp on gasoline. It is not compatible with E85. Tapout Stage 1 LPFP will help to prop up your entire fuel system, compounding the gains of aftermarket high pressure fuel pumps and/or fuel cams. This is the pump we recommend for Purple Belt Performance Package cars. It can support E0 to E85 up to at least 20 psi with OEM turbos, and E0 to E70 with 25 psi on OEM turbos. No special tuning is required for our LPFPs. The Tapout Stage 1 LPFP increases flow by 23% to 435 lph with no back pressure and 265 lph @70 psi. We include a brand new ATS-V fuel pump housing, retrofitted with a new ZL1 fuel pump. Unlike some of the other LPFPs available in this market, Tapout Stage 1 LPFP includes the correct length pickup tube for proper scavenging in the ATS-V fuel tank. *Tapout Stage 1 LPFP O-ring seal is optional* These are brand new GM ZL1 pump assemblies, modified to properly fit the ATS-V fuel tanks.  They are a great value, and perform really well.  They are E85 compatible.  However, running E85 pushes them to the limit of their capacity and shortens their lifespan.  There are no other LPFPs on the market that fit our cars and perform better, unless you want to upgrade the entire fuel system for several thousand dollars. Installation takes a few hours with a helper. First the car must be lifted. Next, drop the exhaust system, driveshaft and gas tank. Replace entire fuel system bucket on passenger side. Then reinstall everything. Check out this screen shot, which shows our fuel system easily maintaining 3,200 psi from 22 to 24 psi of boost through 158 mph on full E85. The Tapout LPFP can be added to any of the above to provide a little extra padding or safety margin.  This unit will not increase overall fuel flow as a standalone modification, since the HPFP is the weakest link in the chain. Installation Instructions   What fuel system mods are required to run E85? it depends on how much boost you are targeting and how high of ethanol content you would like to run. Some people claim that you can run E30 on the stock fuel system. However, this is a dangerous and misleading statement. We have repaired and/or replaced many engines for people who trusted that negligent advice. Although the stock fuel system can technically handle E30, you will be required to reduce boost down to the point that you won’t make any more power than you could have on pump gas. With our Stage 1 LPFP, fuel cam and alcohol content sensor you can typically run ~ E47 without issue. This is convenient mix of half pump gas and half pump E85. If you add on the AutoTech HPFP internals, you can run up to straight E85 at reasonable boost levels. With the stock or Turbobay turbos turned all the way up on a Kill Tune, you should be safe somewhere in the E60 to E70 range. For those stepping up to Caddy Issues turbos, you will need to upgrade to the Stage 2 OG Solutions LPFP, and/or add methanol injection.
