I have used this one time and will need to use it several more times before knowing how well it works. I bought 8 lbs. of milk chocolate and used a little over 4 lbs. The pot holds 2.5 lbs at one time. I melted my chocolate before pouring it into the pot. If you do this method, ensure the pot is hot before adding your melted chocolate. This is easy to assemble and use. It does heat the chocolate if you want but I prefer to melt my own chocolate and let the pot keep it melted. The chocolate moves up the auger corkscrew and over the tiers at a good speed. You want to make sure you set it up on a stable flat surface and in a location where the temperature stays the same. If you were to put it in front of an AC unit the chocolate will not be as liquid. Make sure whatever is being dipped in chocolate is not wet or sheds crumbs. Wet will ruin the chocolate and crumbs will slow it down. This did get air in the tube a couple of times and I turned it off for 30 seconds and let the chocolate flow back down and that got rid of the air bubbles. I added more chocolate when the flow started getting slow. I made sure the cord was secure as I was not cleaning up spilled melted chocolate. This is easy to clean and you can’t leave the melted chocolate in the unit because it will harden and it is far easier to clean it with hot water as soon as you finish using the pot. This pot works and replaced one that was misplaced at a function and never returned to me. The description states you can also use this pot for nacho cheese and other foods that liquefy. I will only be using it with melted chocolate. My video would not upload but when I use this in a few weeks again I will make another video. I do recommend giving this unit a try.
